Makes you wonder, we complain about all sorts of shit. But to be a guitar player, and loose two fingers, and still go on to make the music that he did, is a humbling lesson.

Stefan Grapelli was born in France, in 1908, with his parents being Italian. Life was no fun for him, his mother died when he was four, and he grew up in an orphanage, taking his violin to busk on the streets from the age of twelve, he was soon playing professionally, and went on to meet Reinhardt and together they formed the

Thanks Landsker, I've enjoyed listening to those two before but hadn't heard that song. Didn't know about the fire or his injuries.

Man if you want to do something nothing can stop you as Reinhardt proves. That was excellent! I have never heard of either one of those guys before so thanks for that!

I have to tell you, I never heard of Reinhardt before but they used him and his two fingered play in Jeopardy yesterday and they knew who he was. Hmm!

Jim, how goes with you these days?......with Jazz music, the word "serendiptitious" comes to the (etymological) mind, not very often, but there you are! :>

Hi landsker
I am as well as anyone else I guess. Hope you are too! i am just about done trying to wake people up though as to what Bush is really doing and how horrible this is going to be.

It is getting ready to come to a head and people are still screwing around. They don't have a friggen clue. I may write on that today! It is too late for talk not and it is way beyond control!
