The Odious Machine
"There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part; you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!"

yes- but 'we are the borg. resistance is futile'- that's our country. how about yours? at least folks in europe attempted to shut down nato- even if it was temporary. the north american union is numb and cowering over here.
Hi Betmo,
The "resistance" sort of travels like an ocean swell... don`t forget that in the nineteen-thirties and forties, we in Europe took hatred, prejudice and war to the point where there was almost no-one left to die..;(.
Was it 40 millions? 50? 60?
Did we learn from that slaughter? Did those wars influence the Americans who burned their draft cards, refusing to fight at all. Had they learned from history and logic, and perhaps too, from their hearts.
I hear that there are American truck drivers beginning to talk of a strike in April.
Wars end when the rich cannot entice the poor to fight.
